Inductee Banquet

The Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame suggests that if you are staying in town overnight, you could book at the Hyatt Regency. Contact them directly. The hotel has set aside a block of rooms for us, so be sure to mention that you are with the Aviation Hall of Fame event. The Hyatt is nearby the Mall of America and IKEA, across from the International Airport. Reservations with the Hotel should be made separately from the payment for banquet dinners. 

Times: Social Hour – 4:45 pm.  There will be cash bars.
Dinner: Seating begins at 6:00 pm in the Main Floor Ballroom. 
Induction Ceremony: Follows dinner. 
Entre: Salad, Pan Roasted Range Chicken, Heirloom Polenta, Asparagus with herb jus and
          chocolate tuxedo gateau for desert. 
Dress: Coat and tie.

Being inducted on the 21st will be:

Darrell Bolduc, engine rebuilding specialist, FBO, float flyer; 

Ron Fagen, aerobatic performer, owner and operator of Fagen Fighters Museum at Granite Falls;

Lt. Ralph Gracie, pioneer WWI fighter pilot from Bemidji;

Bob Jasperson, C-141 navigator, F-4 Phantom crewmember, manager of Wings of the North Museum at Flying Cloud Airport;

Joseph Killpatrick, Honeywell electronics engineer, holder of patents on the ring laser gyro;

Bob Leaders, general aviation mentor, aircraft repairman and FBO at Clear Lake, Minnesota.

In addition to the inductees, the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame will present awards to David Matheny for Best Aviation Writing by a Minnesotan for 2018 and to Minnesota Department of Transportation- Office of Aeronautics for Best Aviation Art in Minnesotan for 2018. 

 The well-known Al Malmberg will be emcee. Banquet reservations can be made using the separate mail in form linked below. We expect a capacity crowd of around 300 persons, so the earlier your reservations are in, the better your seating will be. We will attempt to seat friends of each inductee in the same general area, on a first come, first served basis. Do not send reservation forms to the hotel, but to the address of the Treasurer listed above. No tickets are issued but reservations will be confirmed by e-mail or snail mail. Name tags can be picked up at the registration table on the night of the banquet. This is “the” aviation event of this time of the year, we hope to see you there. RESERVATIONS MUST BE IN NO LATER THAN APRIL 7, 2018 Please note: If seats are available after the deadline, there will be no seating preference. Seating is by reservation only, NO seats will be sold at the door. There is no “standing room”.
