The Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame strongly suggests that if you are staying overnight, you book at the Ramada/Thunderbird, Mall of America. If you wish to reserve a room for the night at the Ramada/Thunderbird, please contact them directly. The hotel has set aside a block of rooms for us, so be sure to mention that you are with the Aviation Hall of Fame event.
The Ramada/Thunderbird is within walking distance of the Mall of America, and across from the International Airport. Reservations with the Hotel should be made separately from the payment for dinners. (See dinner reservation form included).

Times: Social Hour - 5:00 pm.
Upper level. There will be two cash bars.
Dinner -seating begins at 6:30 pm
in the Hall of Tribes on the upper level.
Induction Ceremony follows dinner.

Being inducted on May 3rd, 2008, will be:
Ethel Meyer Finley, WASP and aviation educator;
Norman Hendrickson, CAF stalwart and aerospace advisor to youth;
Donald E. Hinz, flight instructor and figurehead for the original Red-Tail Project;
Brig. General Raymond T. Klosowski, former Minnesota Air Guard Commander;
Daniel F. Neuman
, airline pilot and aviation historian;
Joseph Quigley, pioneer aerial photographer.

In addition to the inductees, the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame will present an award to
Mr. Jurgen Fohlmeister for Best Aviation Writing by a Minnesotan for 2007 and to Mr. Kenneth Fox for Best Aviation Art for the year 2007. The Hall of Fame will also present two monetary scholarships to young adults entering into aviation careers.

Cost for the event: $42 per person.

We expect a capacity crowd of 500 persons or more, so the earlier your reservations are in, the better your seating will be. We will attempt to seat friends of each inductee in the same general area, on a first come, first served basis.

No tickets are issued. Reservations can be picked up at the registration table on the night of the banquet. This is “the aviation event” of this time of the year; we hope to see you there.

Please note: If seats are available after the deadline, there will be no choice of seating preference. NO seats will be sold at the door and there is no Standing Room.
